Job Title: Senior Human-Centered Design (HCD) Strategist Location: Baltimore Maryland, USA (Hybrid/Onsite as required) Duration: Long Term Contract
Requirements:
7 years of experience in Human-Centered Design (HCD), Service Design, UX Strategy, or related roles
Experience working in government, healthcare, or other regulated environments
Strong expertise in user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, prototyping, and usability testing
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, PMO, Business, and Operations
Knowledge of accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG
Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
Experience translating user research into technical requirements, user stories, and service improvements
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives
Preferred:
Experience with Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, TANF, or public benefits programs
Prior experience with state agencies, healthcare exchanges, or public-sector modernization projects
Experience with enterprise design systems and inclusive design practices
Experience with AI-assisted workflows, conversational interfaces, or self-service platforms
UX/HCD certifications such as NN/g, LUMA, IDEO, CUA, or equivalent preferred
Salary : $90 - $100
