Role Description
The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Key responsibilities include developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including analyzing drawings and specifications, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, and preparing proposals that align with client requirements and company objectives, while collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and executives to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience in commercial construction estimating with a general contractor.
- Proficiency in the following types of software: Estimating and takeoff tools (Bluebeam, On-Screen TakeoA, Procore, Excel or similar).
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with local subcontractor markets and pricing trends.
