Retail Sales Lead – Harley-Davidson Retail (Downtown Nashville)

Full-Time | Starting Training Pay: $19/hour

Our downtown Nashville Harley-Davidson retail team is looking for an experienced Retail Sales Lead who enjoys connecting with customers and taking ownership of their work.

This hands-on position combines active selling with responsibility for daily store operations, merchandising, inventory, and cash handling. You’ll work independently much of the time, with guidance and support from a manager who is actively involved in the store.

Before moving into your permanent downtown assignment, you’ll receive extensive training at our main location to learn our products, systems, and operating procedures.

Pay & Schedule

• Full-time position
• Training pay starts at $19/hour
• Compensation will be reviewed as you transition into the full responsibilities of the role, based on experience and demonstrated ability
• Store hours: 10 AM–6 PM daily
• Schedules are posted one month at a time
• Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday is required

What You’ll Do

• Keep customer service and selling at the center of your day, actively greeting shoppers and offering personalized recommendations
• Build sales through product knowledge, outfit coordination, and thoughtful add-on suggestions
• Take the lead on daily store operations, including opening and closing
• Receive shipments, verify merchandise against packing documents, and enter inventory accurately
• Organize stock, replenish merchandise, complete inventory counts, and follow through on discrepancies
• Maintain attractive displays and a clean, organized, welcoming store
• Process sales, returns, and other POS transactions accurately
• Balance registers, secure funds, and follow established safe and cash-handling procedures
• Resolve routine customer and operational issues within company guidelines
• Communicate store needs, concerns, and unresolved issues promptly to your manager
• Recognize what needs attention and keep work moving without waiting for direction

What We’re Looking For

• Three or more years of retail experience, including merchandising, inventory receiving, and cash handling
• Previous keyholder, retail lead, or comparable independent responsibility strongly preferred
• An outgoing personality and confidence approaching customers and starting conversations
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Dependability, punctuality, integrity, and accountability
• Sound judgment and a practical, solution-oriented approach
• Ability to work efficiently and independently while following established procedures
• Ability to balance operational tasks with an active presence on the sales floor
• Willingness to learn, apply feedback, and maintain consistent standards

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday
• Must be comfortable frequently working as the sole associate on duty
• Must be comfortable handling store keys, safe access, and cash-control responsibilities
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move merchandise and assist with stocking
