Position SummaryWe are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our customers, you will play an important role in delivering an excellent shopping experience while accurately processing transactions and assisting customers with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, EBT, and other payment transactions.
- Maintain an organized and balanced cash register throughout each shift.
- Answer customer questions and provide assistance when needed.
- Promote store loyalty programs and other customer initiatives.
- Ensure checkout areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Bag groceries carefully and efficiently.
- Assist with returns and exchanges following company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, safety, and customer service.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
