The Tax Manager- Technology, having a mix of private industry and large public accounting firm experience will drive tax compliance and reporting through process improvement and automation. The role will also partner on tax examinations by developing defense strategies and maximizing tax saving opportunities. This role will contribute to shareholder value while fulfilling tax compliance and reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the utilization of appropriate technology tools (Corptax, Alteryx, Tableau & Onesource), and the adoption of standard methodologies in the completion of tax projects
- Review tax workpapers and procedures to ensure accurate reporting of income taxes in the most efficient manner possible building system based solutions to inefficiencies
- Preparation of Tax technology strategy roadmap inclusive of governance controls
- Identify, research, and evaluate global tax law changes and adjust tax technology strategy to address potential new filing requirements
- Manage the timely and efficient administration of information assimilation and reporting through the review of processes and implementation of procedures that improve speed and efficiency of administration
- Review of annual tax provision and tax provision to return reconciliation to be recorded and submitted for global consolidation in order to determine technology enabled controls are working or propose and implement adjustments accordingly
- Monitor industry activities and technology developments relevant to Honeywell’s Tax operations
