The Sr. Director - PCO Functional Excellence is a key leadership
role in defining, driving, and executing end-to-end process efficiency and
effectiveness efforts across the Project Controls (PCO) function in collaboration
with the respective business owners and stake holders across Performance
Materials and Technologies (PMT). The position holds responsibility of
providing thought leadership for driving excellence and standardization across
all processes and work methodologies within the PCO groups serving different businesses
within PMT.
This role will lead a team of functional excellence specialist and will focus
on building and driving functional excellence capabilities across people,
processes, and tools, with strong alignment to respective business goals and expectations,
and the culture of continuous improvement that will strengthen and streamline work
processes and eliminate operational wastes. This role is expected to work
across the organization cross-functionally and globally, developing key
internal partnerships, achieving results through influence, and executing
through collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to set organizational vision for driving process standardization and best practices through organization-wide change management initiatives and established performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the key stake holders, cross functionally and globally, to identify and lead efforts to optimize processes to achieve more efficient results including establishing standard processes and best practices.
- Ensure creation and maintenance of standard project controls tool sets for work processes, tools, guidelines, controls, people skills and competencies and other KPI’s along with its consistent deployment and adoption across different PCO teams within the PMT PCO function.
- Ensure and drive alignment of the processes and enabling tools with applicable corporate policies including any needs for conformance to statutory requirements.
- Driving Change Management to promote a culture and mindset of functional and operational excellence and continuous improvement across the PCO organization and embedding it into daily work
- Building and leading a team of functional excellence specialists that are highly passionate and motivated with deep understanding of the core processes, work practices, organizational capabilities, enabling platforms who demonstrates an ability to structure an organization and optimize it for execution, and drive change.
