This Electrical Engineering
position is in Honeywell’s Military Avionics group. Our group produces
military avionics equipment to include mission computers and display
units.
The successful applicant will
support fielded military avionics products. An engineer in this
position will have design cognizance and responsibility for sustaining
engineering tasks for assigned products.
The position is suited for
a motivated, self-directed engineer with the ability to work with a
variety of personnel including program management, electrical and
mechanical designers, as well as engineering and production technicians.
This position provides exposure to various shared services within the company
including Production Operations, Repair and Overhaul, Program Management, and
Quality organizations . You will work with and be mentored by highly
experienced engineers.
Job responsibilities include:
- Circuit board design enhancements
- Troubleshooting failed products
- Evaluation of production and field failures leading to product improvements
- Qualification and verification testing for product updates
- Creation and approval of product change orders
- Creation of service bulletins
- Finding replacements for obsolete components
- Estimating schedule and budgets for product updates
- Leading small teams in root cause & corrective action activities
