KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides opportunity to Lead Combustor Module Team on an existing Air Force Improved Performance Turbine Engine (IPTE) - HTFng Program w/ 2022 budget of >$0.5 M and to participate in new Army, Air force & other Technology Demonstrator programs. Responsibilities include IPTE Turboprop combustor design improvement to meet Lean Blow Out (LBO) requirements while meeting all other combustor design requirements. Coordinate completion of design changes and work with atomizer supplier to assess cost and schedule for additional rig test of proposed design w/ additional potential $500k of funding. Lead additional fabrication and rig test effort if funded. Coordinate documentation of test results and support program final report. In addition, provide IPTE Turboprop Engine Hardware support through inspections & dispositions. Position reports directly to the Technologies Demonstrator Group Leader. Successful candidate must work closely with IPTE Program Manager & team members, as well as broader Advanced Technology Engineering team to provide consistent and seamless integration of these very important Air Force and other technology demonstrator programs.
