Key responsibilities:
- Assists with the development of cloud design standards related to the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure deployments
- Ensures designs produced adhere to architectural roadmaps and supports the development, execution, and operation of services
- Overall design of Microsoft Office 365 architecture across our global enterprise
- Translates high-level service design from service and project management into low-level component designs
- Develops and documents the low-level design specifications for additions, changes, and removal of services and related components
- Ensures publication and communication of cloud architecture blueprints
- Supports project teams during the service design and transition phases
- Establish best practices for cloud usage within an organization
- Understand business goals, direction, and security requirements and identify opportunities with cloud technologies
- Oversee governance, AKA the rules and standards the cloud environment must abide by.
- IT security task to monitor privacy and develop incident response procedures.
- Mitigation of any risks that security and governance identified
- Estimate cloud infrastructure costs and budget for current and future needs.
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure.
- Take a leadership role in shaping service design direction
- Partners with and mentors’ other architects and consultants to share your knowledge and experience
