This role is responsible for product management of a fast-growing, electronic materials-related product line within Honeywell Advanced Materials. At Honeywell, the Product Management Lead is responsible for the product portfolio end-to-end and is accountable for product profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing and sourcing, supply chain planning, finance, offering management and other key business stakeholders to maximize the growth, profitability and return on investment of the product line’s product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning:
· Integrate demand, supply and other planning inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; support P&L management of a fast-growing business
· Actively manage products across their lifecycles, from demand planning of new offerings through managing End-of-Life (EoL); coordinate initiatives with Offering Management
· Apply 80/20 principles to the portfolio to identify offerings that should be sunset; define appropriate pricing during sunset period
· Drive resource and/or capacity allocation decisions as needed to maximize return on product portfolio
· Minimize inventory obsolescence; create strategies to optimize asset utilization (e.g. make vs buy analysis, asset shutdown or expansion, new product recommendations)
Pricing:
· Develop dynamic product pricing tactics based on value delivered, input costs, market trends and forecasts; coordinate with Offering Management
· Work closely with Sourcing to track supply / demand of key raws, and drive dual-sourcing where critical
· Partner with Pricing team and drive operating system to track inflation in key raws; drive pass through pricing actions based on knowledge of customers and competition
· Utilize a robust operating process to track pricing impact – e.g., PVA (price-volume analysis), etc. – and oversee pricing change execution
Customer Support:
· Ensure clear and timely communication of product delivery schedules by facilitating robust linkage between supply planning, sales and customer service
· Effectively translate customer and business needs into actionable product requirements
· Provide appropriate information on products (specifications, documentation, pricing, lead times etc.) to support sales process and customer inquiries
