The Metering Solution Architect / Technical Sales Engineer position is a key resource for the Metering (Electric/Gas/Water) BU’s because it is an integral part of the AMI solutions selling effort for the sales and marketing of OEM metering into other AMI systems. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, RFQ/RFP response, customer support and training, competitive analysis, support to product (offering) management, and Non-Honeywell AMI systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
RFQ/RFP Response
• Provide technical leadership to proposals related to the metering components
• Coordinate with the Proposal Manager(s) and develop proposal content when needed
Competitive Analysis & Expertise
• Become internal SME for competitive OEM meter platforms and technologies
• Create and maintain a competitive meter comparison analysis
• Develop, expand, and maintain non-Honeywell product system knowledge and expertise
Solutions Selling & Customer Support / Training
• Demonstrate “metering” functions and capabilities with metering software to IOU customers
• Provide technical sales support and training for Sales force and IOU clients
• Support industry-wide tradeshows and conferences
Product (Offering) Management & Alliance Partner Management
• Support Offering Management to advance our meter lines
• Support technical meetings with OEM partners
• Support resolution of technical issues related to commercialization of the products
• Ability to travel 50% of the time
