Summary:
The BI Solution Specialist supports the EIM organization in the office of the CDO at Honeywell FM&T. This role works closely with analytics development team, data architecture team and business stakeholders to architect enterprise level analytics solutions, turning data into actionable insights that helps drive success across the organization. The successful candidate will have strong experience in developing and architecting BI & Analytics solutions in various tools and technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze BI & Analytics requirements, understand business goals, and identify data, metrics and KPI needs to support the initiative
- Work with data architecture team to support data ingestion, transformation, data integration and data aggregations
- Work closely with dashboard/report development team to develop a solution architecture that is performant in a high concurrent user environment
- Work with data architecture team to develop a universal semantic model in data virtualization layer to establish single source of truth
- Provide technical guidance to multiple report development teams across the organization
- Work with data governance team to develop dashboard catalog, access standards and security compliance
- Establish standards and best practices for BI and analytics development, perform architectural reviews of dashboards/reports before deployment
- Maintain technical BI and analytics solution architectural documents
- Monitor BI tool platform analytics data to drive key performance and architecture initiatives
- Engage with IT to troubleshoot performance issues and analytics platform infrastructure needs
- Evaluate new features/releases of BI Analytics tools and provide recommendations and approach for better adoption
- Additional responsibilities may include supporting dashboard development when required
