This role will form part of a growing global ICT advanced solutions team responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining complex and critical ICT infrastructure and systems as part of larger HBS solutions. This includes remote services, large servers/storage/virtualization deployments, wired and wireless networks, and cyber security assessments/validation.
This role will suit a highly motivated person who enjoys working to the highest standards, in a fast paced technical environment with a variety of technology. The ICT Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for providing remote and onsite cyber security & network services associated with HBS solutions across the Region. Services provided include remote and on-site consulting, troubleshooting, network designs, security control implementation, cyber security assessments, security hardening and other related tasks as identified.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume support and/or lead role in assigned projects/service contracts ensuring cybersecurity/networks scope is delivered on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Implement security controls and processes to protect HBS deployed solutions and conduct routine security audits to ensure compliance.
- Keep technically current with the HBS networking and certified wireless product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on specific designated network disciplines.
- Support the HBS ICT CoE in the identification of new IT security partners, qualification and testing of equipment to form part of wider HBS led solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry security standards such as IEC-62443, NERC CIP, ISO 27000, etc.
- Ensure security, high availability and performance of Honeywell maintained IT services by diagnosing complex problems, tuning to improve performance, maintaining and supporting the underlying infrastructure, monitoring of network and system intrusions, provision of switch and router configuration management, including liaison with Project Team, Honeywell Support, and ICT hardware and software vendors where advanced diagnosis is required.
- Protect the integrity of the Honeywell implemented software, server and network infrastructure and services by managing access, monitoring global ICT security news and technological developments, and acting on these using vendor advice and current technical knowledge.
- Develop effective working relationships with Honeywell’s Technical Support Groups, systems users, software vendors. to effectively solutions to customer requirements.
- Ability to collaborate America’s wide and global team, which gives us expanded knowledgebase.
- Requires approx. 25% travel.
