As a Sustainability Capital Project Leader here at Solstice Advanced Materials (SAM), you will be responsible for leading and managing sustainability projects and initiatives to ensure a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will play a crucial role in driving sustainable practices, promoting environmental stewardship, and achieving our sustainability goals. Your expertise in sustainability project management and strategy will enable us to enhance our environmental performance and contribute to a more sustainable future.
You will report directly to our VP of HSE, and you will work out of our headquarters in Charlotte, NC, Morris Plaines NJ, or Houston TX, on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of sustainability projects that align with our mission and values. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive sustainability initiatives and ensure their successful execution. Your leadership in driving sustainable practices and advocating for environmental stewardship will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaison between
sustainability team and engineering team on sustainability capital projects and
initiatives to achieve our goals. As well as manage the reporting on key
performance indicators for sustainability capital projects.
• Work collaboratively with the HSE, Sustainability, and Capital project team to support sustainability projects in the plants
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive sustainability initiatives and ensure their successful execution.
• Conduct sustainability assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans.
• Monitor and report on sustainability project performance, including key metrics and targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and partners to drive sustainability collaborations and initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on sustainability-related matters.
This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.
