Senior Health & Safety Engineer – Honeywell Aerospace (Torrance, CA)
Drive safety excellence at our Torrance manufacturing site! As a Sr. HSE Engineer, you’ll champion occupational health and safety programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with leaders and employees to foster a safe workplace. This role is onsite, hands-on, impactful, and critical to our aerospace business.
You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and work out of our manufacturing plant in Torrance, CA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements and maintains company Health and Safety programs while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
- Proactively involved in the recognition, evaluation and control of Health and Safety hazards.
- Improves facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes Health and Safety recommendations accordingly.
- Proactively works with leadership and front-line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve Health and Safety concerns.
- Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating HSE policy and procedure manuals.
- Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on best practices and pre-established guidelines to meet the requirements of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.
