What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Export Compliance Officer position at Honeywell?
Sr. Export Compliance Officer will report directly to the Director of Export Compliance and will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule from our Clearwater, FL location. This role serves as a trusted partner to our Export Controls program, with a primary focus on ensuring Honeywell maintains a best-in-class compliance program in accordance with the U.S. Arms Export Control Act and International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing licensing, system controls, policies and procedures, training, transactions, and audits to support robust export compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Honeywell’s health checks program for approved export authorizations across Business Groups
- Support export authorization post approval requirements such as on-boarding of authorization owners, training and validation of actions
- Engage authorization owners and shipping/logistics organization to validate record keeping requirements for DOS hardware licenses (example: DSP-73s and 61s).
- Managing OCR-EASE recordkeeping requirements for complex export authorizations
- Conduct peer review of DOS export applications
- Manage the Export Compliance Authorization Management SharePoint site
- Provide export advice to Honeywell’s business teams – both strategic and tactical
- Working with the other members of Export Compliance organization and businesses to ensure export compliance requirements are published and adopted
- Develop, review, update, and implement comprehensive export compliance procedures, forms, guidebooks, agreement control plans and training in support of consent agreement corrective actions
- Create and report metrics and KPIs to leadership
- Support export compliance investigations
