ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Fire Alarm Technician at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of protecting lives and property by ensuring the performance and reliability of critical fire alarm and life safety systems. You will lead the programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspection of cutting-edge fire detection systems in complex environments. Your technical expertise will directly support the safety of our clients and the quality of our fire protection solutions.
You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring systems are installed and maintained in accordance with industry codes and Honeywell’s high standards of excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to customer sites 75–90% of the time, managing your own travel arrangements, site coordination, and reporting.
- Program, configure, and test fire alarm panels, including XLS-3000 and ZLS-140 systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on a wide range of fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure code compliance and operational readiness.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and fire codes to support system design and integration.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
- Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement across the team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records for compliance and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business and project needs.
