Honeywell has a rich history of pioneering advancements in airborne weather radar & sensing technology, being the first to introduce the Fully Automatic 3-D Volumetric Buffer Weather Radar, the first commercial weather radar to incorporate pulse compression technology, the first Predictive Windshear Alerting Weather Radar and the first Turbulence Detection Weather Radar, among other advancements.  

 

Our cutting-edge Airborne Weather Radar Systems utilize Volumetric 3-D Scanning & Pulse Compression technologies which provide vastly improved weather detection & predictive hazard warnings to conventional 2D radar. Innovative 3-D Weather Visualization technology allow pilots to visualize storm structure and intensity in three dimensions and Automated Weather Detection capabilities that can autonomously identify and analyze weather patterns are among some of the standout features of our radar technologies.
