Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems in building automation projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to perform fitting tasks accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during all phases of work
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects and maintenance on time and within specifications
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failures
- The selected candidate will have to be available for on-call rotation and respond to customer needs.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Be a 3 rd year apprentice at minimum within the local 412 union.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures applicable to fitting tasks
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and repair work
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
- Experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance within building automation or related industries
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or journeyman certification in mechanical fitting or related trade
- 5 years of experience in mechanical fitting or building automation systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Journeyman Refrigeration License
- EPA Certification
- Journeyman Gas Certification
