What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Salesforce Software Engineer position at Honeywell?
As an Advanced Software Engineer within Honeywell’s Sparta Systems organization, you will play a critical role in building and enhancing Salesforce-based solutions supporting our TrackWise Digital and Quality Management platforms. You will design, develop, and optimize features using Salesforce Apex, contribute to solution architecture, and help scale platform capabilities that serve life sciences and other regulated industries.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and QA teams within an Agile environment, delivering secure, compliant, and high-performance software. In this role, you will also help guide technical direction, mentor junior developers, and contribute to broader platform modernization efforts across Sparta Systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build scalable, reusable components and managed packages for ISV distribution.
- Delivering Salesforce packages and solutions to customers.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and components using Salesforce Apex, Agentforce, and Datacloud.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design for new Salesforce-based features and integrations.
- Integrate Salesforce functionalities with backend systems, APIs, and data services where applicable.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality releases.
- Support CI/CD workflows, automation processes, and version control best practices using GitHub.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve technical issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes, performance, and system scalability.
