KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Flight Operations, to ensure seamless integration of weather radar systems into flight test aircraft, including software configurations and performance parameter setup.
- Design, plan, and oversee flight test activities to validate weather radar system performance and functionality in real-world operating environments.
- Analyze flight test data to identify performance issues and verify compliance with system requirements prior to certification.
- Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Partner with systems, software, hardware, and test engineers to develop innovative solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
- Author and manage high-level system requirements using DOORS.
- Perform system-level analysis, trade studies, and optimization activities.
- Utilize MATLAB and simulation-based tools to evaluate and validate system performance.
- Support system integration efforts to ensure seamless interoperability across avionics platforms.
- Lead and participate in system verification, validation, and certification activities.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements within aerospace and avionics.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the Avionics, Radar, Aerospace or related disciplines
- Proficiency in system-level analysis and optimization

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

- Model-Based Systems Design and Development (MSBE)
- Familiarity with architecting and using simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, or similar)

- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and certification processes
- Experience using AI/ML for tools/requirements for product enhancements is of value
