For more than 40 years, Honeywell Aerospace's Electronic Solutions team in Glendale, Arizona has designed, developed, and manufactured some of the industry's most reliable avionics, navigation, guidance, and motion-control technologies for manned and unmanned space applications.

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing support, and troubleshooting of high-performance motors, tachometers, and resolvers used in mission-critical space systems. Your work will directly support flight-qualified hardware that operates in some of the most demanding environments imaginable.

This is an opportunity to work on highly reliable aerospace and space products while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to solve complex technical challenges and support next-generation space programs.

Location: Glendale, AZ (100% Onsite)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and analyze motors, tachometers, resolvers, and other electromechanical devices used in aerospace and space applications.
• Perform electromagnetic design, modeling, analysis, and performance evaluations to support new product development and production programs.
• Review and approve electromagnetic design data packages and engineering documentation.
• Partner with suppliers to resolve technical issues, improve product performance, and support manufacturing readiness.
• Support procurement, qualification, testing, and troubleshooting activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and support product transition from development into production.
• Provide production support and collaborate with manufacturing teams to address design and process challenges.
• Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and anomaly investigations.
• Develop engineering reports, technical documentation, and flight-program deliverables.
• Present technical findings and design solutions to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical or electromagnetics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with design and analysis tools including Siemens NX, ANSYS, and Teamcenter.
• Experience supporting motors, resolvers, actuators, or other electromechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies and engineering methods.
