Job Description

As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of complex systems that enhance the safety, efficiency, and performance of aerospace technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of aerospace systems and software projects by applying your technical expertise in systems and software engineering principles, ensuring system requirements are met and integrated effectively across hardware and software components, and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable code, support continuous improvement, and help to solve complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the design and development of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate hardware, software, and network components into cohesive system solutions.
  • Participate in system verification, validation, and testing activities to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 3 years of experience in systems or software engineering, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes including requirements management, system design, integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, or similar platforms, and familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C , or Python, with experience in developing scalable and maintainable software solutions.
