Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Lead End-to-End Materials Strategy
- Own the full materials lifecycle including planning, inventory management, warehousing, and material flow to operations
- Align materials strategy with business objectives such as on-time delivery, turnaround time, cost efficiency, and quality
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and finance teams to drive execution
- Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance service levels with working capital efficiency
- Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment processes in a variable-demand environment
- Monitor and improve key metrics such as inventory turns, material availability, shortages, and excess/obsolete inventory
- Lead warehouse, receiving, storage, and internal distribution operations
- Improve material flow, layout, and processes to increase productivity and accuracy
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment
- Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to improve supplier reliability, lead times, and cost outcomes
- Develop strategies to mitigate supply risk and maintain continuity of operations
- Support supplier performance management and long-term partnerships
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Drive effective use of ERP/MRP systems and data analytics to enhance visibility and decision-making
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks across the material flow value stream
- Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans
- Develop contingency strategies to address material shortages and disruptions
- Ensure resilience in a dynamic and fast-changing supply environment
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of materials, planning, and warehouse professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Build leadership capability and succession pipelines within the function
- Maintain strong alignment with quality and regulatory requirements
- Partner with quality teams to support audits, traceability, and process compliance
- Promote disciplined, standardized processes across all materials activities

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, logistics, or operations leadership
- Experience leading teams in complex, fast-paced environments with changing demand patterns
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead through change
- Experience in regulated or quality-driven industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, automotive, pharmaceuticals)
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) or service-based supply chains
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification
- Lead a mission-critical supply chain that directly impacts operational performance and customer outcomes
