As a Senior HSE Engineer – Environmental here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for ensuring that our site adheres to environmental regulations and internal health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. You will report directly to our HSE Manager, and you’ll work out of our Glendale, AZ location.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications
- Assist in administering the Honeywell Health, Safety, Environmental Management System
- Implement the exposure monitoring and IH programs for the site
- Provide technical assistance regarding health, safety, environmental compliance requirements
- Develop and administer training and communications to site personnel regarding HSE topics
- Perform site aspect and impact maturity assessments of the HSE management system
- Measure key HSE indicators and implement plans to address gaps
- Administer the Radiation and Laser program and act as the site’s Radiation and Laser Safety Officer
- Support the onsite health clinic with exposure and ergonomic cases
- Be a subject matter expert when it comes to Industrial Hygiene
- Administer the hazardous chemical program
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6 years of experience in HSE Engineering.
- 3 years of experience managing subcontractors
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Arizona regulations
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Passion for promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HSE engineering with organizational goals
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Use innovative thinking to drive continuous improvement projects
- Familiarity using an HSE reporting software as a solution
- Environmental Compliance Experience
- Experience managing emergency response teams
- Strong computer and Microsoft office skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint primarily
