- Provide test and manufacturing support for sub components in the Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production lines.
- Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
- Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
- Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
- Assist development of new processes for cleaning glass substrates for thin film deposition.
- Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
- Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- 2 years experience or Advanced degree in Engineering discipline
- Product or process engineering experience.
- Experience with thin film deposition, optics, laser systems, high vacuum systems
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
- Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
- Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions.
- Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
- Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams.
