As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing established aerospace assembly and test processes for precision electrohydraulic servo valves and fuel control products. This role is heavily process- and people-focused, with an emphasis on yield improvement, test and cycle time reduction, lean manufacturing, and daily production support.
You will work closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues, disposition non-conforming material, and drive continuous improvement in a regulated aerospace environment. Your efforts will directly impact product quality, delivery, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
You will report to the Director, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and will work on-site at our Rocky Mount, NC location.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing established aerospace assembly and test processes for precision electrohydraulic servo valves and fuel control products. You will report to the Director, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and will work on-site at our Rocky Mount, NC location.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE
- Weekends: Either Wednesday–Sunday or Saturday–Wednesday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Training Period: Initial training will occur on a weekday schedule (Monday–Friday) for approximately 3 months before transitioning to the assigned shift.
- Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for aerospace assembly and test operations
- Drive yield improvement, reduction of test time, and overall process cycle time reduction
- Lead and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives in a mature production environment
- Serve as a key technical resource on the production floor, supporting operators and supervisors in real time
- Investigate manufacturing issues using root cause corrective action (RCCA) methodologies and implement sustainable solutions
- Support and obtain PRB certification to disposition non-conforming material and ensure compliance with quality requirements
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to meet production and quality objectives
- Support capital or process improvement projects as needed, with limited focus on new product introduction
- Ensure compliance with Honeywell processes, aerospace quality standards, and safety requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing for aerospace or similar field.
- Degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience supporting assembly and test operations in an aerospace or high-reliability environment
- Strong hands-on problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with non-conforming material disposition, PRB/MRB processes, or quality investigations
- Demonstrated success with lean manufacturing, yield improvement, and process optimization
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with operations and engineering teams
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic manufacturing environment
