We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take X-rays and ensure proper imaging techniques are followed.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit.
- Help manage the flow of patients in the clinic, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times.
- Provide education to patients and their families on proper dental hygiene practices tailored for children.
- Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient inquiries as needed.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures.
- Experience with X-Ray technology and understanding of safety protocols related to imaging.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices, ensuring comfort for young patients during treatments.
- Knowledge of systems such as Epic for managing medical records efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills to keep track of patient files and clinic operations smoothly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to any health concerns during appointments.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, enhancing overall clinic efficiency.

Pay: $25.26 - $35.00 per hour
