What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced insurance professional to lead and own fronting carriers and reinsurers reporting for Honeycomb. In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for preparing and delivering monthly reporting packages, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, and building scalable processes that improve accuracy and efficiency. You will partner closely with engineering and data teams to develop enhanced reporting capabilities and be the first point of contact for any fronting carriers and reinsurers reporting.
Strategic Ownership of Reporting
- Act as the internal subject-matter expert for fronting carrier/reinsurer reporting requirements.
- Lead the full reporting process for fronting carriers and reinsurers, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
- Establish and maintain best practices, controls, and quality standards for reporting.
- Anticipate reporting needs and proactively design solutions to address them.
Relationship Management with Fronting Carriers & Reinsurers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fronting carriers and reinsurers as a trusted point of contact.
- Facilitate regular communications to align on reporting expectations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure transparency.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues to maintain trust and strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that carrier and reinsurer needs are understood and effectively managed.
Process & Capability Building
- Lead cross-functional projects related to reporting enhancements and process improvements.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to design and implement automated reporting solutions and dashboards
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical specifications for reporting improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement in data integrity and accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Insights & Decision Support
- Analyze and interpret reporting outputs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership, underwriting, finance, and operations teams.
- Develop reporting frameworks that support strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services, with strong emphasis on reporting, analytics, or finance operations.
- Familiarity with MGA structures, fronting arrangements, and reinsurer reporting is strongly preferred.
- Accounting background- a plus
- Proven experience leading reporting functions or managing external reporting obligations in an MGA or carrier environment.
- Proven experience in project management and implementing process improvements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a track record of process improvement.
- Great communication skills
