As a Fundraising Team Member, you'll meet face-to-face with community members, share the nonprofit's mission, and help generate support that funds life-changing programs. Every Fundraising Team Member helps expand community awareness through engaging promotions, meaningful conversations, and positive interactions at local events. Responsibilities of the Fundraising Team Member
- Represent our nonprofit partner during community events, outreach campaigns, and fundraising promotions throughout the Houston area.
- Start meaningful communications with community members to introduce the nonprofit's mission and encourage support.
- Educate attendees on how donations directly benefit local programs and initiatives.
- Help coordinate event promotions that increase visibility and encourage greater community participation.
- Assist with event setup, organization, and execution to create a positive experience for attendees.
- Accurately process donations while maintaining professional communications with supporters.
- Learn how outreach promotions and fundraising strategies contribute to long-term nonprofit growth.
- Support creative promotions that strengthen community engagement and encourage repeat involvement.
Qualifications of the Fundraising Team Member
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, fundraising, hospitality, retail, outreach, or volunteer work is helpful but not required.
- Enthusiastic personality with excellent communications and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable speaking with new people in community environments.
- Interested in nonprofit outreach, event promotions, or public engagement.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and accept coaching.
