As Controller, you will lead all dealership accounting and financial operations across your assigned rooftops. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial accuracy, operational discipline, and providing leadership teams with clear visibility into performance.
You’ll oversee accounting staff, drive month-end close processes, maintain strong internal controls, and partner closely with GMs and department leaders to support profitability, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This role requires both strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to lead people, improve processes, and maintain accountability across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all dealership accounting operations including AP/AR, reconciliations, schedules, and payroll review
Manage month-end close and produce accurate, timely financial statements
Provide financial insights and benchmarking to improve dealership profitability
Maintain compliance with company policies, tax requirements, and internal controls
Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial planning initiatives
Train, mentor, and develop accounting team members
Partner with leadership to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
Ensure accuracy and consistent use of DMS and financial systems
The Right Fit Has
3-5 years of automotive dealership accounting experience
Prior Controller Or Office Manager Experience Strongly Preferred
Strong knowledge of dealership financial statements, schedules, and reporting
Experience With CDK Or Similar Dealership Management Systems Preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Leadership mindset with coaching and team development ability
Ownership mentality — accuracy, urgency, and accountability in everything you do
Compensation
Estimated Compensation Range: $100,000 - $175,000 annually
Compensation will vary based on experience, performance, and scope of responsibility
