Job Overview

Duties
- Plan and implement engaging after-school activities that promote learning, social skills, and personal growth
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to maintain a safe and respectful environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Facilitate youth group activities, sports, arts, theater, and outdoor adventures to foster teamwork and confidence
- Ensure adherence to first aid protocols; respond promptly to minor injuries using CPR or AED when necessary
- Support children with special needs by implementing individualized accommodations and fostering inclusive participation
- Collaborate with team members to develop program schedules, monitor progress, and maintain detailed activity records
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols required; ongoing training provided if needed
- Experience in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to support young learners
- Background in youth development programs or youth group facilitation is a plus
- Previous outdoor work experience or sports coaching experience is beneficial for leading outdoor activities confidently
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide both children and fellow staff members

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
