JOB SUMMARY

Assists with or performs the work necessary to keep Honey tree’s machines, production equipment, and facilities in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing mechanical equipment, installing, aligning and starting-up new equipment; and repairing buildings, walls, and floors. Reports food safety and quality issues to supervision/management.

Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks:

Clean and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.

Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels, replace filters, etc.

Record maintenance and repair work and associated costs.

Diagnoses mechanical problems and how to correct them, using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary.

Installs and/or repairs electrical wiring and electronic components, pipes and plumbing, and production equipment.

Dismantle devices to gain access and to remove defective parts.

Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to make a diagnosis.

Lay brick to repair and maintain buildings and walls.

Paint and repair roofs, window, doors, floors, and other parts of building.

Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.

Estimate repair costs.

Repair or replace defective equipment using hand and/or power tools.

Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers.

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches to precise instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

Prioritize and distribute work orders.

Attend Monthly Safety Meetings

Weekly performance bonus

Pay rate increases after satisfactorily completing 90-days of employment based on meeting or exceeding performance expectations with regard to safety, attendance, quality, and production.

Attendance bonus of $50.00 paid weekly.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
