Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Perform plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of associated components.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system repairs when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and support field service operations across multiple sites.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with strong construction knowledge.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration (HVAC/R), plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field testing equipment for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with equipment repair including welding, boiler maintenance, and general mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures related to air conditioning systems and overall building climate control.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
