Residential Remodeling Project Manager
Wichita, KS | Full-Time | $55,000–$60,000 Performance Bonus
We're a growing Wichita residential remodeling company currently on track for approximately $4.2 million in annual revenue—and we're looking for an experienced Residential Remodeling Project Manager who wants to grow with us.
This isn't a position where you'll simply check schedules and put out fires. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of projects from pre-construction through final walkthrough, lead crews and subcontractors, protect project budgets and schedules, and create an exceptional experience for our homeowners.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Manage multiple residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating employees, subcontractors, inspections and vendors
- Conduct pre-construction meetings and verify project readiness before construction begins
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout construction
- Provide consistent project updates and proactively address homeowner concerns
- Monitor project budgets, labor, materials, subcontractor costs and overall job performance
- Identify potential budget or scheduling issues early and develop solutions
- Coordinate material ordering, deliveries and project staging
- Manage subcontractors and hold trades accountable for quality, schedule and professionalism
- Identify scope changes and ensure change orders are documented and approved
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections for quality, cleanliness and safety
- Maintain accurate project documentation and daily updates
- Coordinate permits and inspections as required
- Manage punch lists, final walkthroughs and project closeout
- Help continuously improve our project-management systems and processes as the company grows
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of construction or remodeling project-management experience
- Residential remodeling experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing projects in occupied homes is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing and building codes
- Ability to read plans, scopes of work and project specifications
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with BuilderTrend or similar construction-management software preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
