Job Summary
The Crew Foreman is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on residential remodeling projects. You will lead crew members, coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules, ensure workmanship meets HBCC standards, and keep jobs moving safely and efficiently from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead field crew on active remodeling projects
Quality Control
- Ensure craftsmanship meets HBCC quality standards
- Review completed work before next phase begins
- Catch mistakes early and correct issues proactively
- Protect finished surfaces and customer property
Team Management
- Train and develop crew members
- Maintain accountability, productivity, and professionalism
- Set the tone for attitude, pace, and workmanship
- Communicate expectations clearly each day
Customer Experience
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with homeowners
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Provide progress updates when needed
- Represent HBCC positively at all times
Safety & Documentation
- Enforce safe work practices
- Conduct safety awareness talks
- Submit progress notes/photos
- Track hours, materials used, and site issues
- Organize daily tasks and keep projects on schedule. Take accountability for both job quality and on-time completion.
- Coordinate material deliveries and jobsite readiness
- Manage workflow to maximize labor efficiency
Qualifications - Required
- 10 years residential construction/remodeling experience
- Strong carpentry skills
- Experience leading crews or managing projects
- Ability to read plans, layouts, and scopes of work
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Professional communication skills
- Kitchen / bath remodel experience
- Structural framing knowledge
- Finish carpentry experience
- Ability to train apprentices/helpers
- Light plumbing/electrical coordination experience
