Responsibilities
- Will interact with customers so customer service skills a must or willing to learn
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and wheel balancing to optimize vehicle performance.
- Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics on diesel engine repairs and powertrain systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, or replace vehicle parts efficiently.
- Follow dealership procedures and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in auto body repairs, welding tasks, and auto estimating as needed to provide comprehensive vehicle service.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, and auto body repair.
- Knowledge of transmissions, mechanical systems repair, brake repair, suspension work, and alignment procedures.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
