Machining Technician
Wage Info : $34.90 - $39.90
About this Position :
Technician role critical to machining / manufacturing of stamping dies, aluminum die cast or plastic injection molds, and instrument panel jigs at all auto plants across North America. Support new technology and technology transfer from Japan / NA development teams into production across North America production facilities. Provide production and / or emergency support related to manufacturing issues in support of production.
Responsibilities include :
- Ensures molds, dies, and jigs are running properly for production by following standard procedures.
- Partners with a more experienced Technician to troubleshoot and repair tooling and leverages knowledge gained from training to begin independent troubleshooting of "low" risk items.
- Proactively looks for / identifies potential for process and quality improvement and calls to attention of Supervisor; may occasionally participate in developing recommendations.
- Supports new model activity, as assigned by project leader and / or Leadership.
- Participates in checks, tests, trials etc. under supervision of more experienced Technicians and / or Leadership.
- Utilizes assistance of other Technicians assigned to the job, as appropriate.
