About this Position:
As a Group Leader in the CAE Methods Department, you will be responsible to lead a team for CAE method and process creation related to Optimization of 1D/3D CAE models, Automation of CAE workflows, and robustness (stochastic) processes. Proficient use and understanding of CAE methods contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage the team by clarifying priorities, allocate resources and balance workload within the group to meet the required outputs.
- Set priorities for work based on short term and long term department and company needs.
- Ensure the output of the team is timely and of high quality with the aid of ATE/TE.
- Actively work with associate on their career development
- Work with Department Lead for capability and resource planning
- Lead and provide technical guidance for a team to develop and validate new CAE methods in the areas of automation, optimization and robustness.
- Develops and evaluates metrics for quality of modeling and analysis.
- Assist in setting the plan for the technical direction of CAE methods development.
- Collaborate with lead test and lead part design engineers to ensure CAE models are achieving efficiency/effectiveness targets.
- Collaborate with Virtual Performance Engineering lead engineers to ensure the CAE methods are meeting the requirements for application to development projects
- Create documentation for the registration of CAE Models as a verified tool for specification setting and product verification.
Who we are seeking:
- BS in mechanical engineering
- 8 years engineering experience based on education
- Expertise CAE software such as iSight and modeFRONTIER. Familiarity with various CAE software such as Abaqus, Nastran, StarCCM , GT-Suite, SimPack, AmeSim, Hypermesh and Ansa are preferred. Also expertise with programming language software such as Matlab, Python, and Excel VBA.
- Expertise with creation of new CAE Methods and performing verification and validation.
- Ability to present complex concepts as simple summaries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
