Job Summary
Honda City is located at 4333 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage. This is one of the newest and largest Honda showroom on Long Island and is THE premier place to work and shop. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced billing ready to move up to a management position. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role requires proficiency with various payroll and accounting software.
Duties
- Process payroll using systems ADP
- Perform data entry related to employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for accounting records.
- Manage benefits administration including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Maintain comprehensive payroll records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
- Support general ledger accounting activities including account reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations regarding taxes, reporting, and employee classifications.
- Prepare reports on payroll activities for management review and audit purposes.
- Process commissions for payroll.
Requirements
- Proven experience with payroll management software such as ADP.
- Excellent data entry skills
- Strong analysis skills to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $24.78 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
