Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance .
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Assist
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including cooking and meal planning in accordance with health protocols
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas
- Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA, including patient care records and incident reports
- Documents and maintain Medication Administration Record (MAR)
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and recognize signs of distress or deterioration
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred but not required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED.
- Clean criminal record.
- Have good computer skills.
