Homi is looking for an experienced Lead Home Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This is a senior, hands-on position for someone with a strong background in residential construction, remodeling, repairs, and home maintenance.
We are looking for someone who can confidently evaluate projects, determine the best solution, complete high-quality work, and guide an assistant when additional help is needed.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Location: Sonoma County
What You'll Do
- Lead residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects
- Diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repair solutions
- Perform skilled carpentry, drywall, painting, trim, door, cabinet, and installation work
- Handle a wide variety of residential maintenance and repair requests
- Identify materials, tools, and scope required for each project
- Manage projects efficiently from start to finish
- Direct and work alongside a Home Maintenance Assistant
- Inspect completed work and maintain a high standard of quality
- Communicate directly and professionally with homeowners
- Identify potential maintenance issues before they become larger problems
- Maintain organized tools, materials, and work areas
- Represent Homi professionally in clients' homes
What We're Looking For
- Strong professional background in residential construction, remodeling, or property maintenance
- Several years of hands-on construction and home repair experience
- General construction / contractor license or equivalent professional construction background strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of residential construction methods and building systems
- Strong carpentry and finish-work skills
- Experience with drywall, doors, cabinets, trim, hardware, fixtures, painting, and general repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Ability to accurately assess the scope of a project and determine materials needed
- Comfortable leading and training an assistant
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using professional hand and power tools
- Able to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs

You should be comfortable walking into a client's home, evaluating a problem, determining the right solution, and completing the work professionally without requiring constant supervision.
This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in craftsmanship, and prefers working on residential projects rather than being on the same construction site every day.
