Job Summary
This position is responsible for the same job functions as Front Desk Agent with the additional responsibilities of performing the Night Audit functions each day. Night Auditors are also responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel. Furthermore, they are responsible for making guest room reservations/cancellations. Night Auditor should be able to assist in-house guest with requests, accommodations or answer a variety of questions and possess a friendly personality.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

· Balance and close out prior days hotel books
· Balance and close out prior days restaurant books
· Complete Daily Report accurately
· Compile and distribute Night Audit reporting packs to Department Managers, AGM, GM and corporate office
· Correctly set guest wake-up calls
· Obtain CPR certification
· Obtain alcohol server training certification as applicable
· Verify cash drawers
· Read log book and review notes left from prior shift
· Operate multi-line phone system
· Make guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications
· Register guests to rooms during check in
· Accommodate basic requests from guests
· Understand and adhere to proper credit card and cash handling procedures as assigned.
· Understand and operate hotels property management system
· Send and receive e-mails and faxes
· Attempt to resolve guest complaints
· Use suggestive selling techniques when making reservations to promote other services of the hotel
· Properly administer the use of safety deposit boxes
· Coordinate with all departments to ensure that special requests or accommodations are properly handled
· Maintain guest privacy as required by hotel policy, local, state and federal law
· Clean, stock and organize the gift shop
· Assist guests in the gift shop, including cashiering purchases
· Report all pertinent information to oncoming shift
· Maintain a clean, clutter-less, organized work area
· Properly use all cleaning chemicals as indicated on their labels
· Arrive to work on time as scheduled by supervisor
· Keep and maintain uniform in neat, wrinkle free fashion
· Able to work graveyard hours, ie. 11pm-7am, 10:30pm-6:30am, 11:30pm-7:30am, etc.
· Other duties assigned or requested by management

Education/Experience:to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
· a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree
· a minimum of one year related experience and/or training
or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
· Frequently sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach, stoop/crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
· Clearly see 20 feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
