Overview
The Homewood Suites Plymouth Meeting is seeking candidates for the full time front desk position.
PEP experience is a plus.
This position will require holidays. You must have a reliable car to get you to and from work.
Duties/Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
· Ensure efficient guest registration, checkout and guest service
· Handle confidential information and guest records
· Must have good problem resolution skills and think/act quickly in high pressure situations
· Resolve customer complaints through empowerment to exceed guest expectations and resolve conflict
· Communicate any real or potential emergency situations to General Manager and Assistant General Manager
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time (full shift, 8 hours)
· Ability to handle and count cash and process credit transactions
· Communication with other departments (Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and Management)
· Pass on pertinent shift information to next shift
· Must have proper phone etiquette
· Responsible for taking reservations, answering & transferring phone calls
· Make courtesy calls to guests to assure their complete satisfaction with room & stay
· Perform administrative functions for guests, i.e., faxing, coping, mailing, and other clerical duties
· Willingness and ability to train new associates
· Be familiar with the area: know the surrounding area to give directions and recommendations to our guests.
. Follow company handbook policies and adhere to guidelines on appropriate workplace behavior
. Able to work alone and be manager on duty when a manager is not present
. Maintain a clean work environment
· All other duties/responsibilities assigned by Management

Qualifications
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience in front desk operations within a hotel or resort environment
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to manage multi-line phone systems
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with guest relations and night audit processes
