Assistant Head Housekeeper

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Head Housekeeper to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties

• Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping activities across all areas of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional cleaning and sanitation services aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Coordinate staff schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
• Oversee training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development in cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industrial cleaning standards, and hotel policies.
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, laundry items, and custodial equipment; ensure proper storage and usage.
• Support the implementation of cleaning & sanitation management strategies that enhance efficiency while safeguarding staff well-being and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or hotel housekeeping management with a strong background in industrial cleaning practices.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management skills that inspire motivation and accountability among staff.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and janitorial best practices within hospitality or healthcare settings.
• Hands-on experience with laundry operations and hotel housekeeping procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead by example in maintaining cleanliness standards while fostering a positive work environment.
• Previous leadership roles involving team supervision, management responsibilities, or hospitality experience will be considered an asset.
