Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance routines
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules that meet industry standards for sanitation, safety, and quality control
- Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation procedures and hazard prevention measures
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to hygiene standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, laundry services, and custodial equipment to optimize resources
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and performance management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial services, industrial or commercial cleaning, or hospitality housekeeping management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management techniques
- Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff and coordinate with other departments
- Ability to oversee janitorial operations including laundry services and specialized cleaning tasks
- Leadership qualities with a focus on customer service excellence and team development
- Prior experience in managing large-scale cleaning operations or industrial cleaning environments is preferred
