Duties
- Maintain a spotless and inviting lobby environment through thorough cleaning and floor care, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols.
- Perform janitorial duties such as dusting, trash removal, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces to ensure a hygienic space.
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and requests with friendly and professional customer service.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of safety incidents or other urgent situations.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning equipment or supplies safely and efficiently through proper manual handling techniques.
- Keep records of sanitation activities and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management, custodial or janitorial work, or industrial cleaning is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and cleaning equipment operation.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing chemical handling tasks in compliance with SDS guidelines.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning routines or equipment handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
