This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain Resort, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.
Homewood is seeking a Lake Pursuits Coordinator to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department.
The Lake Pursuits Coordinator is responsible for Outdoor Pursuits administration such as member/prospect communications, bookings, and reservations, team planning and all charging, reporting, and any other administration duties within the Outdoor Pursuits operation. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities
General Operations:
- Perform daily department administration.
- Member communications via email, text message or phone call.
- Partner with Member Services Manager to complete bookings and reservations in the OP Bookings system.
- Recording of the gratuity report.
- Input of schedules into booking and payroll systems.
- Purchase orders and procurement with support from the Director of Club Operations
- Greet members/prospects on arrival to Lake Pursuits and walk them to the boats introducing them to captains and instructors.
- Facilitate impeccable member and guest services.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the office.
Daily Duties:
- Respond to emails and situations in a timely manner.
- Greet members in the Lake Pursuit areas of the Club.
- Keep the Lake Pursuits areas tidy and presentable, including outdoor equipment, dock, boat areas, etc.
- Take and organize bookings.
- Create daily activities report and send to management daily.
- Write and send out the daily LP “Task List” to Lake Pursuits staff.
- Ensure daily checks are completed on the boats and areas.
- Stock takes of OP container and management of inventory.

- Previous experience in the guest service industry
- Strong math, accounting, and critical reasoning skills.
- Clear communications skills.
- Attention to detail.

- Interpersonal skills: Must be able to maintain constructive working relationships and interact with others in a professional manner.
- Able to maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
- Flexible and efficient time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.

- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
