Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personal matters as confidential information.
- Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
- Operates all vehicles in a safe manner.
- Drives designated vehicles in a safe manner according to guidelines for trip, size of vehicle and all applicable laws.
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance and repair of fleet promptly and in accordance with guidelines for each vehicle.
- Maintains an accurate and current log (book) for each trip and follows up to be sure all drivers complete for each trip as well.
- Creates monthly schedule for drivers, in advance, to be sure coverage is designated for all trips, appointments and activities
- Acts as a mentor to other drivers in Transportation department, with a focus on safety, adherence to job duties/assignments and exemplary customer service, both internally and externally.
- Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must possess valid CDL license with air brake and passenger endorsements. Must maintain DOT physical and agree to complete random drug testing per federal guidelines.
- Ability to drive 8-44 passenger vehicles in both rural and urban areas with distractions and in potentially undesirable weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Able to bend and lift items up to 50 pounds several times throughout a shift.
