Primary Responsibilities
- Design lesson plans, units, and pacing guides with fidelity; adjust as needed to meet student needs.
- Provide direct instruction in physical education.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ELL
- Maintain an organized, fully operational P.E. and gym environment.
- Manage classroom materials, equipment, and supply inventory responsibly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grade records in the district's student information system.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on student projects and assignments.
- Communicate proactively with students, parents/guardians, and school staff regarding student progress.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and team meetings as required.
- Document and report behavioral concerns in accordance with school policy.
- A valid Professional Educator License with LBS1 and Physical Education endorsements
- An endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Education or related field preferred.
- Background in Physical Education or a closely related field preferred.
- Experience teaching in a high school P.E. program preferred.
- Health endorsement preferred.
- Driver's Education/Behind the Wheel endorsement preferred.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification preferred.

- Stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom and other physical education environments for
- Demonstrate physical education and exercise techniques.
- Work in an environment with moderate noise levels from active students and equipment.
